NED VAN GONed Van Go's members are a ragged crew made up of small town boys who are influenced by beer, desperation, good love, bad love and down home rock and roll. From breakdowns on the side of the road to causing a ruckus because of the song "Granny is a Racist", the boys of Ned Van Go are never boring. Their latest record "Marry a Waitress" stands out from even their earlier records because of its energy and quirkiness. It tells stories of factory working, racism, love in prison, love in a small town and time running out on an aging musician. "Marry A Waitress" has been requested by radio stations all over the world-18 different countries, 14 stations alone in Australia, 5 in the Netherlands. Their music stands out because it can strike you as heartfelt, mean, raunchy and lovable all at once, and that's just plain hard to pull off. Stats a little bit about the band: Viva Kneivel (bass)-Former Kentucky native and band mate in The Cowards. Viva has rocked on lead guitar for such power house bands as Bowling Green, Kentucky's Toxic Shocks, Nashville's Vegas Cocks, as well as The Cowards. He's our newest member, so we handed him the bass. Eliot Houser (lead guitar, backing vocals)- A San Antonio, Texas transplant and former band mate in The Cowards. Eliot has had stints in other Nashville based bands such as Bone Pony, Heavywood Brand and Fugitive Glue. He is also responsible for the soundtrack to the highly acclaimed independent film Riders. Ashley Mimbela (keyboards)-A native of Peru who moved to the United States (Indiana to be exact) in the summer of 1989. Ashley mastered, somewhere along the line (and where we’re not sure), the purely American rock’n’roll, honky-tonk piano that we’re proud to have in Ned Van Go. Reggie Las Vegas (drums, backing vocals)-Another Kentucky native and former Coward band mate and brother of Viva. Reggie has pounded the skins for other notable bands as The Woggles from Athens, GA and Nashville’s own The Vegas Cocks. Anyone who knows Reggie knows he’s all about the “rock” in rock’n’roll. contact: E-mail:
